Perry teaches alignment-based Hatha yoga utilizing options and alternatives to make the practices accessible for people of all abilities. In 2010, he completed his 200-hour teacher training at Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland, and in 2017, he became a certified yoga therapist, completing an additional 800 hours of training at Niroga Institute Oakland. He has experience teaching trauma-informed yoga, yoga for seniors, yoga for Parkinson’s, yoga for veterans, and yoga for healthy aging, including yoga for back health. Perry is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT), a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP), and a yoga
therapist certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). Perry believes that people of all ages and abilities can enhance the quality of their lives through the various practices of yoga.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES AT PRANA?

Gentle but challenging; accessible to everyone. Primary focus is on breath, balance, posture, and strength, with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure.
